Halloween

As my American friends post pictures of their kids' massive Halloween hauls and adorable costumes, it might be tempting for an English kid to feel left out. Our American friends ask, "Is Halloween a thing there?" And my best answer is... sort of. We went out in Islington on Monday night with a couple of Anne's friends, hoping to find whatever small trick-or-treat scene was going on, and hit the jackpot around Arlington Square.

Thanks so much to all who decorated and handed out candy! We also decorated our house and got about 15 trick-or-treaters. It was good, sweet fun. The squirrels have eaten our jack-o-lanterns, so even they got a treat.
