Beside the Seaside

On the last day of half term, and one of the last really warm days of this year, we hopped on a train to Margate for one last day at Dreamland. An hour and a half from London, it's just right for a family day out. We had a tantalizing bird's eye view of the park as the train arrived, and we took a lovely walk on the sea front for tea and fried doughnuts (my favorite thing to eat in Kent, unless you count Morelli's gelato...). Anne was eager to get to Dreamland, and we were surprised to find it uncrowded and unhurried on such a beautiful Sunday. We always feel so welcome there. Bravo, Dreamland, and see you next summer! Anne's already talking about it.
